Today’s vote to strip Cheney of her powers elevated the will of the American people, and certainly conservatives.
The move by House Republicans to strip Rep. Liz Cheney of her powers for actively working to undermine Trump and purge Trump supporters from the GOP is causing a meltdown on Capitol Hill, mostly among Democrats.
Cheney, a Republican who has been criticized widely on the left for her neo-con views including opposition to Trump’s troop withdrawals is suddenly being heralded as “the conscience of Republicans” for one reason: she vehemently opposes Trump and defends a globalist agenda.
Just after Wednesday morning’s vote, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi referred to Cheney as, “a leader of great courage, patriotism and integrity,” and went on to accuse House Republicans of “declaring that those values are unwelcome in the Republican party.”
Speaker Pelosi referred to Cheney as, “a leader of great courage, patriotism and integrity.”
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer echoed Pelosi’s statements, saying Republicans have “reached a new and very dangerous low”. Even the far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar called Cheney’s removal “shameful.”
Meanwhile, the vocal Trump critic and one of Cheney’s biggest supporters in the GOP Rep. Kinzinger said after the vote, “going forward I think she’s going to be a great leader for this country and this party.”
Status quo globalists and the mainstream news are attempting to frame the Cheney vote as radical conservatives taking over the Republican Party.
The reality is, today’s vote to strip Cheney of her powers elevated the will of the American people, and certainly conservatives.

Cheney’s loss of power is being portrayed by the mainstream as a “fracture” in the GOP, but a majority of Americans, Republicans, conservatives and Trump voters all oppose Cheney.
A recent YouGov poll shows Americans oppose Cheney 38% to 27%, and her supporters are disproportionately Biden voters. Trump voters oppose Cheney by a margin of greater than two to one (56% to 17%) and Biden voters support Cheney by a margin of 45% to 33%.

Cheney has support form 39% of liberals versus 20% of Conservatives and 38% of Democrats versus 20% of Republicans. What is more, her support disproportionately comes from East Coasters and those earning over $100K, while Americans in the Midwest and West and those earning lower incomes disproportionality reject Cheney.
Liz Cheney is one of several leftover Republicans clinging to power and pushing a globalist agenda that a majority of Americans oppose. There will be more of these battles on the right as conservatives shed the remaining globalists in their ranks, and that is a good thing.
